December 26, 2014 Tom, Field, Willey. Peaks # 1-3

And so it begins...

Feeling rather lethargic from a long day of family Christmas activities, we were up and out the door at 6:00 AM. With high winds predicted for the higher summits, we decided it would be a nice day to be in the trees. After the two and a half hour drive we were at Crawford Depot and off like a herd of turtles.

Jillian was making good time out of the gates, but having a hard time shaking off the fog of Christmas and took until the summit of Mt. Tom to hit her stride.

Then we were off to Mt. Field.

It was a rather uneventful walk over Mt. Willey.

We went back over Mt. Field, followed Avalon Trail down and decided to take the steep 100 yard walk up to Mt. Avalon.
